CONSERVATION REAL ESTATE AND CONSULTING: While at the Trust for Public Land, Nellie helped protect nearly 1,500 acres, creating or preserving parks, forests, playing fields, bike paths, drinking water supplies and farms throughout the greater Boston area for future generations of Massachusetts’s residents.  She continues to consult on land protection projects today, working with individual landowners, land trusts and municipalities. Recent projects include the protection of O’Brien Farm in Westford, preservation of the shorefront Rolling Ridge Retreat in North Andover, editing the Open Space Plan for the Town of Rowley, and grant writing for the Towns of Scituate, Essex County Greenbelt Association, and Sudbury Valley Trustees.
